Amo Titoki / Executive Assistant to Kaihautū CEO

Te Awahōhonu Forest Trust is an ahuwhenua land trust with big aspirations for our whenua and our whānau.


We are looking for our next highly valued kai hoe, our Amo Tītoki.


As Amo Tītoki you will support our Kaihautū and executive team to progress our kaupapa, engage our whānau and manaaki in executing our plans.


We need a problem solver who is up for the mahi in a dynamic whānau orientated environment. One day you’ll be in the office, the next in the forest, on the farm or with the whānau. Your ability to move between board, exec, stakeholders, tikanga māori and tikanga tiriti will be well proven.


Te Awahōhonu values our kaimahi, karanga mai, karawhuia!


Key Skills

· Excellent organisation, time management, and communication skills.

· Proven discretion, reliability, and ability to work independently.

· Competent with Microsoft Office and digital tools.

· Knowledge of or willingness to learn Te Reo Māori and tikanga.


Role Focus

· Provide executive support to the Kaihautū and leadership team.

· Coordinate diaries, meetings, hui, travel, and communications.

· Liaise with whānau, board, and stakeholders with manaaki.

· Assist with kaupapa programmes, events, and project tasks.

Shepherd - Tarawera Station

An exciting opportunity has become available on Tarawera Station for a Shepherd to join our award-winning team.


Tarawera Station is our Ahuwhenua Trophy winner, high performing and progressive 2683ha Hawke's Bay hill country Station that runs 13,300 ewes and 990 breeding cows. Tarawera is integrated with and supplies all store stock to our finishing farm Gwavas Station who has also had Ahuwhenua success.


We are looking for a person and/or a family that is keen to join our progressive farming business who is passionate about the industry and looking for an opportunity with a difference. We pride ourselves as a leading adopter of new technology and innovations through genetics and other modern farming systems. If you are looking to increase your knowledge and skills within a supportive team. 

The role is predominately stock work and includes general R & M when required, this could be the job you’ve been looking for.

  • Are a good Stockman.
  • Have a team of well controlled working dogs.
  • Can handle large mobs of both Sheep and Cattle.
  • Can work alone and in a team environment.
  • Have the enthusiasm to achieve targets.
  • Have a current driver's license.
  • Are self-motivated, honest and reliable.
  • Have basic knowledge around general Farm work.

3 Bedroom house with primary school bus at main gate for a married or single person. The main highway location gives excellent access to Napier & Taupo.
